Questions about sourcing, suppliers, payment and shipping
Answers for business buyers using Chinese suppliers, 1688 links, supplier comparison and consolidated international freight.
Getting started
What does your sourcing and purchasing service do?
We help business buyers find the factory, source and confirm the product, check quality, compare suppliers, buy and settle the order on their behalf after written approval, receive and check the goods, consolidate suitable parcels and arrange international freight.
How do I get a quote?
Send a 1688 link, product photo or written specification with quantity and destination country, city and postcode. Include any inspection, packing or customer-dispatch requirement. Use the quote form to email your brief to our sales team. After submission, continue on WhatsApp using the prepared link. If email delivery is unavailable, use WhatsApp to send the details.
What is the minimum order?
Stock products can be ordered from 100 pieces or above US$5,000 in order value, with either condition meeting the platform threshold. Orders from several suppliers are counted together. Custom and private-label products follow the factory’s own MOQ.
Can I send a product photo?
Yes. Attach a product photo to the quote form or send it in WhatsApp with the quantity, target market and specification. A purchasing agent reviews photo enquiries manually; the website does not search 1688 automatically from an image.
Can I use your warehouse if I buy the goods myself?
Yes, subject to the products and route. Ask for receiving and forwarding instructions before sending parcels and provide the supplier order and parcel references.
Products and prices
Can you buy from 1688 and other Chinese suppliers?
Send the supplier links for review. We check the goods and supplier terms before agreeing the purchase. The website search shows 1688 listings; other links can be reviewed with the team.
Are listing prices and stock confirmed?
No. Supplier listings are leads only. Price, stock, specification and delivery within China are confirmed before an order is placed.
Does the displayed price include service and shipping?
No. Product purchase, domestic freight, purchasing and warehouse service, inspection and packing, international freight and destination charges are listed separately unless a quote says otherwise. See shipping and fees.
What if I cannot find a product in search?
Send the original supplier link, a product photo or a specification. The team can review the sourcing request with you on WhatsApp.
Suppliers and payment
How do you compare suppliers?
Where more than one factory can make the item, we put the same specification and quantity to each of them and set out unit price, tooling, MOQ, lead time, payment terms and export experience side by side, so you see the trade-offs rather than a single price. A standalone supplier shortlist recommendation for an agreed product brief is also available as a fixed-fee service.
Who do I pay, and when?
You pay CNB2BGO, not the factory. We confirm the itemised quote and the agreed deposit and balance stages in writing first, then place the order and settle the supplier from the approved order. Receipts, payment records and the supplier invoice are kept for your order file.
Are your service fees included in the factory price?
No. Service fees are shown separately from the factory price in the itemised quote, and third-party charges such as samples, testing, freight and customs clearance are reimbursed at actual cost. See shipping and fees.
Do you verify the factory before payment?
Yes. Before a deposit is paid we review the supplier information relevant to the order — business licence, qualifications, capacity and commercial risk — and we tell you which factory is actually running your item, not just the company that quotes you.
Warehouse, inspection and shipping
What do you check when goods arrive?
We carry out the checks agreed in the quote. These can include carton count, visible condition, quantities, sizes, colours, packaging and photos. Functional tests or specialist certification require separate arrangements.
Can you combine purchases from several shops?
Yes, where the products and route allow it. We identify incoming parcels, agree what to combine and confirm the storage, repacking and packaging requirements.
Can you dispatch separate parcels to my customers?
We can arrange customer-order packing and dispatch with you. Send the product reference, quantity and destination for each order. There is no automatic store order sync.
How do you calculate shipping costs?
Freight depends on the route, destination, products and actual packed weight or volume. An early estimate is checked against the final carton measurements and the confirmed route.
Are duties and taxes included?
Only when the quote says so. Confirm customs handling and destination charges before approving shipment.
What are the limits of an inspection?
Visual and quantity checks do not equal certification of product safety, regulatory compliance or latent defects. Responsibility for compliance in the destination market remains with the client. Certificates and inspection reports are issued separately by product and scope.
What if a supplier sends the wrong or damaged goods?
We report issues found within the agreed check scope with photos and order references. You decide the next step before overseas dispatch; supplier returns or replacements depend on the supplier’s terms and the evidence available.
